Sway promotes monthly Steal of the Day

Some of the LGBT community's favorite products and services soon will be available for less.

Sway Events is introducing Steal of the Day, a monthly program that mimics Groupon and Living Social, Internet sites that offer discounts on products.

According to Natalie Cianciola, of Sway, the deal offered on the first Tuesday of the month will be geared to the Sway audience.

"The difference is that we want to get some bars involved as well because on Groupon ... you don't see ‘$5 for $10 worth of drinks' at your favorite bar," Cianciola said. "So kind of making it more Sway, more fun I guess you could say. The majority of it will be cooler stuff."

The deal will be promoted on the Sway e-blast, its website and on social networking sites. Those who are interested will have till the end of the day to make the deal.

Cianciola said Sway is working with organizations like Tangible Tanning, Two Hippies, salons and bars. She plans to include deals on event tickets.

Interested organizations provide a product or service at a discounted rate and Sway handles the rest.

Cianciola, who said she loves Groupon, came up with the idea after joining the Sway team in June.
