Pet of the week for February 20, 2012

Echo Pet of the Week for February 20, 2012

Abby

Abby is currently in a foster home until she is adopted. To make an appointment to meet her, please call (602) 997-7585 x1045.

Abby was bald yet beautiful when she first arrived to the Arizona Humane Society on December 10, 2011. She had lost her hair due to demodectic mange and her owner was not able to afford medical treatment. The doctors in the Second Chance Animal Hospital checked this scruffy Fox terrier out from nose to tail and immediately started treatment for her mange. Abby needed treatment for several weeks so she was sent to a foster home.

Abby is 10-months-old and in the process of completing her house training. She is crate trained and sleeps in her crate during the night and when no one is home. This curious little girl loves to play! It's safe to say that Abby is like the Energizer Bunny... she keeps going and going and going. If she didn't have to stop for breakfast, dinner, potty breaks or naptime then Abby would play all day. Balls and rope toys are just two of her favorites. When you come home after a long day of work Abby will greet you with excitement. She likes to wrap herself around your arm as if she is a little monkey. Going for daily walks will help this adventurous girl burn off some of her energy but she will need you to help her with leash training. Chihuahua's are known to walk better on a harness. If you take Abby to the Petique Retail Store at the Biltmore Fashion Square she can pick out her own harness and save 10% since she was adopted from the Arizona Humane Society. Call the Arizona Humane Society to schedule your appointment today... Abby is waiting to meet you!!! www.azhumane.org
